Child Dedications
A child dedication is a special time for our community and your family to celebrate your child as a gift from God. During this ceremony, we encourage and pray for you as parents to raise your children to know God’s love. If you would like to dedicate your child please sign up for one of these upcoming services. We encourage you to invite as many friends and family as possible. There is no class or preparation that is required prior to having your baby dedicated. Simply sign up online and you will receive directions about 2 weeks before the dedication service.
This event is not infant baptism or a christening. We believe that when people are old enough to understand what it means to put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, they should have the opportunity to make that choice for themselves. A preschooler is not able to understand sin, forgiveness, the sacrifice our Savior made for us, and what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This event is about your commitment as parents to lead your children into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, so that as they get older, you are able to guide them and to help them understand what that means.
We have a couple of special child dedication services each year.
